Otsego High School’s Chamber Singers, once again traveled to Central Michigan University for Choral Vocal Day. This has become an annual trip and it didn’t disappoint.
Students had the opportunity to perform two songs for CMU’s Choir Director, Dr. Amon Eady and be a part of a clinic where they received feedback and guidance on their vocals; the two songs will be featured at their December holiday concert.
Students also attended master classes from CMU vocal staff, heard CMU choirs perform and saw a preview of CMU’s musical. They also got to meet two Broadway stars - one who performs in Hamilton, the other in The Lion King - and participated in a Q & A with them; they also got to hear them perform then sing a song with them. “It was a day to remember,” says choir teacher Ms. Lincoln, who attended CMU and graduated from its vocal choral program. “It’s a full day of opportunity and experiences and an overall wonderful event.”
